So, during this time I have challenged myself to get more organised with housework and to motivate myself more in getting on with domestic chores. I don't find it easy to motivate myself when it comes to cleaning, laundry etc and often get away with doing the bare minimum, preferring to spend my time at the computer, gardening or other more interesting distractions.
However, recently I wondered if there was a way to motivate myself to get more done around the house and to organise how I could do it. Now, I have to admit that I am a bit of a handbook kind of person. I love to have instructions given to me to help me organise when to do certain things and prefer a very structured day.
I also love lists!!! Are you a list-lover? I really like being able to tick things off as I do them as it helps me to feel like I've achieved something. Because let's face it no one else notices the things we do and pats us on the back for the 3 baskets of washing, the toilets we've cleaned, the beds we've made it etc...

So, I would like to recommend the Confident Mom Weekly Household Planner which I found on one of the blogs I am currently following. It's a really great realistic planner which organises all your household chores and breaks them down into weekly and daily tasks. It helps me to motivate myself and stops me from putting things off for another day.
I know not all of us are people who like structure and in a way I envy those who just happily go with the flow through life. Yet, for all of us who need to be organised and would love to be a stay-at-home-mum who keeps things at home in good order but are not sure how to do it, I would highly recommend using this great planner!
